Hold the tooth by its upper part, the crown, and avoid touching the root. The tooth may be rinsed, but do not handle or clean it unnecessarily.<\/strong> Try to put the tooth back into its socket. For a child, keep it in position by asking them to bite on a clean piece of cloth or gauze. If you cannot put the tooth back, transport it to the dentist in a small container of water or milk, immediately.<\/strong> Time is the most important factor in saving the tooth: after one hour, its chances of survival are much lower.<\/p>\n\n
